Shipping Season:  Digging orders begins in July and orders are filled on a first come first served basis.   We do not have inexhaustible numbers of plants and it always helps if alternatives are listed.

Shipping:  We  ship ONLY by US Priority  mail.  We've found this to be the quickest (two days east of the Mississippi and three days to the west coast), and  most reliable way to ship our irises while being able to keep shipping costs to a minimum.

Payment:  Check,  or  money order in US dollars, payable to Hermit Medlars Walk, to be made at time of order.  We are no longer accepting credit cards.

Postage:  $7.00 within the USA.

Substitutions:  If we are sold out of a plant, please check if it is all right to substitute the iris of your choice for another similar.  A list  of substitutes would be helpful. If you would like us to make the substitution, please check that box.  If we are unable to fill your order and no box has been checked, your money will be returned to you.

Warranty:  Growing irises is and should be a satisfying gardening experience.  If you are not fully satisfied with your order, please notify us.  Hermit Medlars grows only the finest irises to be found on the American Iris Society's International Register.  It is our policy to either replace the iris or refund the money, your choice, if something is amiss.

Gift Certificates:  Available in increments of $5.  We will send our catalogue and the gift certificate either to you or your choice of recipient.

If you are new to irises or just don't know what to order, we would be glad to make the selection for you.  Just tell us the amount you'd like to spend and preferred height and colour.

Planting Instructions:  Included with each shipment will be easy-to-follow directions for planting.   The bearded irises must have a sunny well drained location.  Daylilies need more moisture.
